Community-Centered Climate Resilience & Sustainability

GreenPulse Climate Institute (GPCI) operates in partnership with Socio-Sphere Initiative (SSI), a Nairobi-based NGO committed to advancing social inclusion, equity, and empowerment for youth, women & girls, and persons living with disabilities. GPCI implements grassroots programs in agroforestry, youth and women green jobs, climate education, and climate-smart agriculture, while serving as a hub for research, training, and innovation across Kenya.

Agroforestry & Tree Planting

Working with forestry experts and local partners to restore degraded land, improve soil health, and create carbon sinks by integrating trees into farms and public spaces.

Climate-Smart Agriculture

Our agronomists and water management specialists train farmers in drought-tolerant crops, organic soil practices, and sustainable irrigation to enhance food security.

Youth & Women Green Jobs

In partnership with local enterprises and development organizations, supporting green job creation through eco-innovation training in solar drying, briquette making, organic inputs, and eco-tourism.

Climate Resilience Education & Awareness

With educators and communication experts, running school climate clubs, radio programs, and roadshows to promote climate literacy and grassroots action.

Sustainable Water Management

Implementing sustainable water harvesting, efficient irrigation, and watershed management solutions through our water management specialists.

Stakeholder Engagement & Policy Dialogue

Facilitating inclusive forums bringing together county leaders, experts, and civil society to co-design local climate priorities and influence policy.
